Our Family Christmas

Santa came a day late to our house because of all the traveling we did on Christmas.  We got up really early "8am" and opened present with Brooklee.  We tried to keep it low key this year since she is only three months old and really will not remember it.  I think Mom and Dad had more fun than she did.  Anyway here are a few pics from this morning at our house.

This is suppose to help transition from the paci because she will still have the comfort of the pig when the paci is gone....  I hope it will work.

Already on the cell phone like her Nanna-darlin and Granna.

She loves to read...

Her first bookbag.  Daddy put the bow in her hair.

Amazed at her exersaucer.  Wow! Look at all the different toys.

Mommy is really proud of this pic she took of her cute litte feet.

We have Christmas monday night with the Taylor family so expect more pics very soon.
Merry Christmas Everyone!

First Muchow Family Christmas

We spent Christmas morning with momma's side of the family in Sardis. The Muchow family was very excited about the first Christmas with Brooklee! She had a great time even though she had a little cold. Momma took her to the Dr on Christmas Eve just to make sure that the cough she had wasn't something more and she was okay to travel and be around everyone. The Dr said that she was okay and that it was just a yucky cold. She was such a trooper and talked non stop to everyone! She loved looking at all of the presents and all of the people around her. Brooklee got so many great things!  Here are a few of the pictures from the morning:

This is Brooklee's bronze ornament that her Great Grandparents had made for her.

Brooklee got a few stuffed animals and they were all so soft!

She got the cutest little outfit from Aunt Vicki and Uncle Tommy! I can't wait to put it on her!

She loves watching this toy spin and light up...

Cousin, Aunt Maegan got her her first leap frog toy. It's the cutest puppy dog that can be personalized for Brooklee! It talks, sings, and goes to sleep like she does! (Or it will after mommy and daddy personalize it for her)

Visit with Santa Pappy and Santa Poppa

Brooklee was a very good girl this year! She got to see Santa two more times this year! Pappy Santa and Poppa Santa were able to play the part for Brooklee's first Christmas!

First visit with Santa

Britt and I took Brooklee for her first visit with Santa. She was so happy and smiling on the way to see Santa but of course the smiles stopped once the camera came out.

She sat in Santa's lap and told him all of the goodies that she wanted for Christmas!

Kale came to see Santa too!!

Brooklee loves looking at Christmas lights so Britt was taking her around to look at the lights. She just stares at them and tries to talk to the lights but unfortunately they don't talk back to her.

It is so much fun to see how excited she gets over seeing all of the lights and colors. She just loves it and just takes it all in! Everyday has something new for her to see and learn!

Brooklee's first Thanksgiving!

Brooklee had her first Thanksgiving this year. She enjoyed visiting with family and was such a great little traveler! We loved being able to spend the day with our family. We went to Greenwood and had lunch with the Jennings family and then headed to Sardis to have supper with the Muchow family. Brooklee had fun talking to everyone at the dinner table.

We had 4 generations of Muchow girls! Brooklee, Me, Nana Darlin and her Great Grandmother.

Just a picture of all of the Muchow girls at Thanksgiving!

We had such a great day and I couldn't be anymore thankful for my wonderful family! Britt and I are truly blessed to have such a wonderful little girl and great family!

Here is a little video of Brooklee playing this morning. She was just a talking to her rattle and octopuss. We cut the video down a bit but she went on for well over ten minutes. Hope ya'll enjoy it as much as we did.

A Beautiful November Day

Photos from the past week

Here are a few pics of Brooklee getting ready for bathtime.  She has really started loving it, so we have started to bathe every other day now.  She just splashes around in the water.

After bathtime we try to read a book before we get ready for bed. Over the last week or so she has really started to notice all the colors and pics in the books and seems so interested.  Mommy and daddys favorite book to read to her is Dr. Seuss's "An Amazing Alphabet Book!"  We do not know if she enjoys it but it is very fun to read.

The other morning we had a good photo opp after she woke up.  She was in such a great mood and loved looking around while laying on daddy's chest.  Our little girl is growing up so fast.  She is getting such good head control at two months old.  Just think in a couple of more months we will be chasing her all over the house when she learns how to crawl.

Cute pic of the cousins...

Last but not least, we have been try to capture her "pouty face" on camera for future proof that she was always been a little drama queen.  I think it was fitting that we finally caught it while she was wearing a shirt that says "I LOVE TO GIGGLE"

Carving First Pumpkin

Last night we decided to have a little fun with the babies and carve pumpkins for their first Halloween. Memrie, Josh, Kate, Kale, Granna, and Poppa joined us for a little cook-out and Halloween fun. Memrie acted as our paparazzi for the night. She took tons of great pictures. Here is one of all the adults concentrating hard on the designs. (I think we enjoyed it more than the babies did.)

Emilee carved a small pumpkin for Brooklee and I carved the "scary" ghost pumpkin because that is the one Emilee wanted me to carve.

Future So Bright

So the other day when I went for my follow up doctors appointment Britt stayed at home with Brooklee. When I was done with the doctor I looked at my phone to call and check on them, and this is what I saw...Britt had dressed her and while they were playing he decided to put her sunglasses on. They are so big on her but how cute is she?! He said that she hated them so maybe that is why she has her fist ready to hit him. Who knows!! But what a better way to end a doctors appointment?!

Our baby is one month old today!!!

Today Brooklee is one month old.  Every morning we play on the activity mat and try a few new things.  Today was the first time to try out the Bumbo.  She seemed to like it and was holding herself up pretty easily.

She is starting to recognize things a little better and was actually laughing at her daddy today.  Of course I was not able to get the laugh on camera but hopefully I will get better soon.

This is just a little smile for everyone that follows Brooklee as she grows.  Maybe over the next few weeks she will allow me to catch one of her big grins to share to all of you.

Our first smile!!

So I know that they say that when babies smile it is just because they have gas but I swear today I got a geniune smile from my beautiful baby girl! The last few mornings she has had the sweetest little grins after she gets a full belly in the morning and I finally was able to catch one on camera. (Sorry the picture isn't the best quality but I was only able to catch it on my phone.)

So this sweet little partially awake grin already made my day but what I didn't realize was after the next feeding, I was going to get a full smile with what sounded like a little giggle!!

Of course as soon as the camera is ready the smile was fading but I think you can tell that she just looks so sweet and happy in this picture. She was just looking at me and trying to talk and giggle. I just love seeing the changes in her personality everyday and being able to enjoy them with her. I still can't believe that we were blessed with such a little angel 4 weeks ago! This has truly been an amazing month and we couldn't be any happier!

Trying out a few new things...

Today we decided to lay Brooklee down in her crib for the very first time.  Britt tucked her in and turned on her mobile just for fun.  She was no were near going to sleep.  We just did it for a photo opp.  She just stared at the mobile, she was so interested in it.  She did not make a peep. (I guess they make those things for a reason)

Then we got the Baby Einstein activity mat out to see how she would do.  She just laid her head on the whale and stared at all the fun entertaining objects.  She was having so much fun just looking around holding on to the rings. I don't think she grabbed it on purpose of course but she did not want to let it go after she finally caught it. She has a strong grip for a 3 week old.

So after laying on her back for a while playing with all the rings, we tried a little tummy time.  It did not work out too well since she fell asleep as soon as her head hit the mat.  I guess all the stimulation wore her out.  Maybe we will try the mat again if she gets a little fussy to see if it will calm her down like it did today.
