Tractor rides, Horse Rides, and a Petting Zoo.. So much fun!!!

Poppa bought another old tractor the other day and Brooklee was excited when we walked outside to see it. She just had to sit on it and act like a big girl and drive. Poppa can not wait until she is old enough to ride along with him.

Today we went to the church's pre-school day. They had pony rides and a petting zoo for all the kids in the community. It was a lot of fun seeing Brooklee and Kale's excitment. I think they had a lot of fun today.
They loved looking at all the animals especially the miniature horse and little deer that stayed right by the fence. There were also rabbits, goats, chickens, sheep, a big tortoise, and I think a minature albino kangaroo.

They were actually taller than the horse.

They really wanted to get in the pen with the animals and other kids but they are still a little too small. Hopefully the church will have this again next year when they are old enough to enjoy it even more.

Taking a break from the petting zoo. Waiting in the long line to ride the ponies.

Brooklee's first pony ride. She was so excited the closer we got to the ponies. Her legs were non-stop kicking with excitement. Especially when we got close enough for her to see them.

She was acutally holding on to the saddle horn like a big girl.

Kale's first pony ride with us. He was studying the horse and trying to figure things out. All in all, I think they had a great time!

We had another photo shoot with Aunt Mermie the other day and of course my little poser was ready and willing! She knows exactly what to do when the camera comes around. She has been so much fun lately! She's always fun but just when I think we have hit the most fun stage she learns something new!! She just amazes me! So, since we started crawling we have also learned to pull up on furniture and people (really anything in front of her) and her second tooth is also starting to cut through. She also has been a little talker! Most of it we can't understand but a good bit of it consist of mamamama and dadadada. Hearing her say that definitely brings a smile to our faces and makes our day! She waves bye bye and mimics us when we shake our heads "no." We have our 9 month check up next month and our next set of pictures with Katie in June. I am having a hard time trying to decide what to put her in for the pictures but I'm sure I'll find something soon. Enough of my rambling. I hope you enjoy the pictures!!!

The past week of fun!

Brooklee decided last month that she was going to attempt to crawl!! She could get up on her knees and rock but couldn't figure out what else she was supposed to do. Love this pitiful face she was giving us while trying to figure this whole crawling thing out.

I GOT IT! I GOT IT!!

Or at least she thought. She could move like two steps before face planting but what a good try!! We are so proud of our sweet girl and her new accomplishment but at the same time oh so nervous about our new mobility.

Britt and I took Brooklee for our first little family vacation. We went to Atlanta to see the Braves play the Astros (which they won 10-1). We had such a great time! Brooklee loved watching all the people running around on the field. She would actually start clapping for the players as they came to the plate to bat.

And of course even Lucy joined in on Braves fun!

7th inning stretch supper time!

We barely got the car started before she was out! The game really wore her out!

We took Brooklee to the hotel pool and she ABSOLUTELY loved it!! She just kept kicking and splashing around! Good to know how much she enjoyed the pool considering swim lessons started that next week.

The pool was a little chilly so we went back to the swimming pool her size, the bathtub! She does love her bathtime!

Brooklee got a blow-up pool from Aunt Kate for Easter and Brooklee thought it was the best thing ever! If you could really zoom in to this picture you could see her first tooth!! She finally cut her first tooth on the bottom.

Just a little posing!

Sunday May 9, 2010 Brooklee was dedicated to the Lord at First Baptist Church Florence, Ms!! Such a proud moment for Britt and me! This is our gorgeous little girl the morning of her dedication. She was the most beautiful little girl there! I'm sure I'm a little biased but that's my heart!

Brooklee with her Great Grandfather waiting on the service to start.

We all went to lunch after the church service and I gave Brooklee just a little bit of mashed potatoes and she wasn't real sure about them. She would make a funny face and then spit them out.

The same afternoon Brooklee finally got the crawling thing down!!! We still aren't very graceful, nor fast but we are actually moving. Each time she gets up to crawl she gets a little more steady and a little more sure of herself! We couldn't be more proud!

Okay we did it again. Here a quick two month update!

For some reason, we are having a lot of trouble keeping our blog up to date. We have good intentions everyday to update it but something else comes up. I am sorry that this will be a condensed version of the last two months. She has grown so much and is doing so much more now. I hope you enjoy our precious little one.

Brooklee's first St. Patrick's Day. We partied all day in PJ's.

She somehow learned how to parallel park in our kitchen. She was so excited when she finally got there.

One weekend close to Easter at Renaissance. She thought it was great getting to sit and play with flowers and eggs.

Her first Easter basket. She loved pulling out all of her goodies.

Our first Easter Sunday. We took a few pics of Brooklee and Kale in their Easter attire.

Our first M-Braves game. We met Brett, Wendi, and Zachary at the game. Brooklee loves Zachary so much!

We also had our first trip and picnic at the Jackson Zoo. She was so intrigued by all the people walking around. I guess she liked the animals too.

Brooklee and Aunt Mermie

Pappy and Nana-darlin with their favorite little girl

Worn out from all the excitement. She actually slept while we rode the carousel. She was so exausted.

She finally woke up for the train ride.

The next post will have a few milestones that we have acheived over the past few months. Our baby has grown up so much in just a short time.
